What should I look for in a Migration Agent?
Your migration agent should be qualified and registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority. The MARA has a code of conduct that their registered members must follow, this includes maintaining a professional library and attending regular professional courses to keep informed as to all the recent changes in the laws and policies governing visas and visa applications. MARA registered agents are also required to hold client monies paid in advance in a separate Clients’ Account and be of good character.
Why use a Migration Agent?
Applying for a visa in Australia is not an easy process. Australia operates a points system and you will be assessed on the skills that you have, your qualifications and/or your occupation, your health and possibly other factors too. You need to ensure that any application is worded correctly and nothing is missed out, to ensure you get the maximum points available. You can of course, choose to do all of this yourself, but any mistakes, no matter how small, could result in delays or the lodgment of an invalid application – and don’t forget that the government does not refund application fees, except in very limited circumstances.

Please note: Depending on where in Algeria you are travelling to, you may also be required to provide a travel itinerary. This is usually required for travellers to the south of Algeria.

Question: Why is Ryanair's Boarding Card Reprint Fee so Expensive?
My question to Ryanair in full:
Can you explain the justification for charging 40GBP to reprint a boarding card in terms of cost to the company? Can you assure your customers that this is not an attempt to force them to 'jump through hoops' in the hope that they break your rules, forcing them to pay extra fees?
Answer:
Ryanair is removing check-in desks by October 1st and must ensure that passenger behaviour adapts to allow the smooth transition to our on-line check in service which will remove high airport cost and help us to lower fares yet again. If passengers are not encouraged to use the service correctly usage would clearly be affected. Passengers would never dream of arriving at an airport without their passport, travel visa or flight tickets and we are simply asking that they ensure that they bring their boarding card. In fact passengers who do present without their passport or the appropriate visas are not allowed to travel and while we must encourage passengers to bring their boarding card we do not wish to be so harsh as to prevent passengers from travelling so we have introduced a purposely high fee of €40 to ensure that the estimated 0.1% of passengers who do present without their boarding card do not continue to ignore this important condition of travel. This fee is designed to encourage passengers to arrive with their boarding card and is not a revenue generating measure – in fact we hope not to charge any passengers this fee.
My Response
It is difficult to find fault with this, apart from the fact that the policy needlessly disadvantages people who don't have access to a printer. (I don't own one for a start!)
Considering the amount of money Ryanair will save with this measure, a little customer service for those who genuinely can't or forget to print their boarding card

The American Embassy in Nicosia has about a hundred American employees and one hundred Cypriot employees dedicated to promoting U.S. interests in Cyprus and in the Eastern Mediterranean region. We have developed a Warden System for American Citizens in Moldova so that we will be prepared in the event of an emergency. When you register with us, we will assign you to a warden who is an American Citizen living or working in your area. Should we need to disseminate urgent information to our citizens in Moldova, it will be done through this system. If someone in the United States contacts the Embassy and inquires about your welfare and/or whereabouts, we will take a detailed message and contact you ourselves, either in writing or by telephone. We will not give out information about you until we have contacted you and received your consent to do so. Should you be arrested or detained by the local authorities, you have the right to contact the Embassy and speak with the Consular Officer, who will help you to the extent permitted by law and international agreements. As a visitor to Moldova, you are subject to the laws of Moldova. Click here for a list of local lawyers who have agreed to handle American clients. If your passport is lost or stolen, please report it to the police, and then bring the police report to the Embassy. We will issue you a replacement passport. If your passport will expire while you are in Moldova, please contact the Embassy and we can issue you a new passport. If your passport is still valid but contains no blank pages because it is full of visas and other immigration stamps, we can affix additional visa pages in your passport. The Embassy performs notarial services for American citizens on certain types of documents. A valid passport is required for entry into Slovenia. A visa is not required for a tourist/business stay up to 90 days. U.S. citizens are encouraged to register at the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana and obtain updated information on travel and security within Slovenia. Consular sections issue passports to Americans overseas and Reports of Birth for U.S.-citizen children under the age of 18. They advise about the acquisition and loss of nationality. The American Embassy in Nicosia has about a hundred American employees and one hundred Cypriot employees dedicated to promoting U.S. interests in Cyprus and in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Embassy activities range from the traditional, such as issuing visas and assisting American citizens residing in and visiting Cyprus, to new tasks taken on in reaction to today's emerging challenges. These include working with local law enforcement operations to counter narcotics trade, to protect intellectual property rights, and to combat the proliferation of counterfeit currency.

We have developed a Warden System for American Citizens in Moldova so that we will be prepared in the event of an emergency. When you register with us, we will assign you to a warden who is an American Citizen living or working in your area. Should we need to disseminate urgent information to our citizens in Moldova, it will be done through this system. If someone in the United States contacts the Embassy and inquires about your welfare and/or whereabouts, we will take a detailed message and contact you ourselves, either in writing or by telephone. We will not give out information about you until we have contacted you and received your consent to do so. Should you be arrested or detained by the local authorities, you have the right to contact the Embassy and speak with the Consular Officer, who will help you to the extent permitted by law and international agreements. As a visitor to Moldova, you are subject to the laws of Moldova. Click here for a list of local lawyers who have agreed to handle American clients. If your passport is lost or stolen, please report it to the police, and then bring the police report to the Embassy. We will issue you a replacement passport. If your passport will expire while you are in Moldova, please contact the Embassy and we can issue you a new passport. The Embassy performs notarial services for American citizens on certain types of documents. The Consular Section of the Lagos Embassy has responsibility for providing services to American Citizens as well as adjudicating immigrant and non-immigrant visas. The American Citizens Services (ACS) includes passport services special citizenship services - such as administering Social Security, Veterans Administration and Civil Service needs, income tax information, voter registration, and notarial services; protection and welfare services for destitute Americans or missing Americans, provide information about local and international travel advisories, assist detained or imprisoned Americans, provide information to American travelers, register Americans and disseminate information of a routine or emergency nature to the American community. The current concerns are fraud and corruption, business scams targeting foreigner ("419"), drug trafficking and the implementation of the Presidential Proclamation of December, 1993 disallowing visas for Nigerians who promote or benefit from policies that hinder the transition to democracy.

A valid passport is required for entry into Slovenia. A visa is not required for a tourist/business stay up to 90 days. U.S. citizens are encouraged to register at the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana and obtain updated information on travel and security within Slovenia. Consular sections issue passports to Americans overseas and Reports of Birth for U.S.-citizen children under the age of 18. They advise about the acquisition and loss of nationality. When necessary to verify a document's legal validity in the United States, consular officers may perform notarial services. Consuls maintain information on Federal and State primary and general elections, as well as voting registration materials. Among other non-emergency services, consular staff can provide information on travel conditions in foreign countries and may be of limited assistance to those receiving federal benefits. Consular officers and staff provide emergency assistance in the event of the arrest, destitution, illness, or death of an American citizen. They also pass emergency messages to Americans traveling abroad, and help those in the U.S. to locate missing relatives. American citizens residing in Slovenia and those planning extended visits of 3 months or more are encouraged to register with the Consular Section.
